Best Location to Book hotel in BKK? « Thailand Hotels

I am a bit confused in which location should i book my hotel to be very close to the center of bars,go go bars,nana plaza etc. in the nightlife in general, khoa san road?Sukhumvit? i don't know can you please give me some tips. thanks a lot ! ...
